After a busy week of group presentations and memos, we finally had some downtime to relax and spend together. Our GCOM Council planned a “Friendsgiving” day to celebrate an early Thanksgiving before everyone headed home for the break. M.S. in Accounting student Elya and her husband graciously invited everyone to their home for the event.

Meet McIntire 2015

The second annual Meet McIntire event took place last weekend! The interactive two-day event, held this year Nov. 13-14, is designed to give junior and senior accounting majors from diverse backgrounds an opportunity to explore UVA, learn about the M.S. in Accounting and get to know the students, faculty and staff that make up the McIntire community.

Tour de McIntire

Every year, the McIntire School of Commerce hosts “Meet McIntire” for prospective M.S. Accounting (MSA) students. This year, the two-day event is held Nov. 13-14, just a few days away! Current MSA students and McIntire staff and faculty look forward to meeting and getting to know potential members of the Class of 2017! Choosing this program has been one of my best decisions, and I would not trade this experience for anything. I can speak for our entire class when I say our program is simply awesome—we have the brightest, most unique, and most hardworking students and faculty; it is a pleasure to be a part of such a close-knit community.

Halloweekend in Hooville

Trick-or-Tricking on the Lawn.

Halloween is nowhere near a one-day event here at UVA. Preparation began early in the week—creative costume ideas by Monday, narrowed-down choices by Tuesday, last-minute drives to the Halloween store on Wednesday, making costumes on Thursday evening, and, of course, the Friday morning attempt to get some school work done before “Halloweekend” takes over.
